Myself and the future

金大監 2013. 3. 11. 01:00

We bear the fruits of the past.

Choices we made, actions, we undertook, ideas we believed,

and relationships we experienced all live on us for good and for ill.

We cannot undo what has been done, but we can enter into a new relationship with the past.

Where guilt, pain, or questions emerge, that is where our attention should be.

Dialogue allows us to access thoughts and feelings from our unconcious.

To start a dialogue is to sit in silence.

When future is filled with dread, we retreat in to the past;

but when it is filled with hope, we stride forward.

One way to discern God's future for you is to pay attention to the past.

Your future is often hidden in your past.

Discern new possibilities in your future by finding past roads you did not follow at the time.

Reflect on the past to discern who you have become and therefore to know where you should go.
